Whilst my recommendation is that the process is followed as broken down there is always some room for flexibility.

For example.

It is often necessary to kick start some of the proactive marketing campaigns alongside stages 3 to 5, in B2B this can be something along the lines of launching targeted LinkedIn ads (part of Account-Based Marketing (ABM)) almost as soon as the mapping process is complete.

In that scenario it is important that stage 3 happens a quickly as possible to avoid wasted spend on ad design, messaging etc. The goal is to generate more leads and a significantly enhanced brand position in target audiences, these early campaigns are not about broad brand awareness.
